Last night's premiere was hot, hot, hot! Although I have to admit, Katherine is a bit more fun to watch. Maybe it's just because she's so different from Elena. Either way, Nina plays both roles superbly!

Next week's episode, "Brave New World", brings a carnival to Mystic Falls. We're posting the trailer and a couple of stills.

The Vampire Diaries Returns Tonight

The Vampire Diaries second season premieres tonight on the CW! Nina Dobrev returns as Elena, and Katherine in what the producers call "The Year of the Kat" (yay!). The sophomore season kicks off with "The Return" and picks up right where it left off.

To get you up to speed, Executive Producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec explain what's going to happen in episode 2.01 and what happened before the season ended. Check out the video below:
